I was so blessed Sunday at church to witness many be baptized. I've been in church a long time and never quite been touched and overwhelmed with such joy and felt the presence of God like this. As I listened to each give a testimony, my heart was full and I cried tears of joy.
One by one, they came as scheduled. And one by one they came unscheduled from the sanctuary in their church clothes. They testified and shared their heart; they were authentic, heartfelt testimonies--what they once were without Christ, their struggles and their surrender. The church erupted with praise! One by one, the waters stirred. One by one the devil was being defeated. In so many ways. Pride was breaking. Darkness was being brought to light. Healing in hearts. Healed relationships. A day of miracles.
It was revival. One by one, as they proclaimed their belief in Christ, they declared their belief in what Christ says about them--in what He's done and the finished work of the cross.
Because the truth is It.is.finished. It's finished so we don't have to be. It's finished so we can live from His victory, not towards it.
I'm certain I am telling you nothing new believer. But maybe you need to be reminded and assured of the truth that it is finished. That His grace is bigger. And revival? Revival can happen every day by believing and walking in what has been already been done and defeating the enemy with the truth.
The waters are stirring. So "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters"...Isaiah 55:1
Praying for you. Pray for me.
